About the Artist:
Angela Mathieus soft and realistic exceptional watercolor paintings jump to life and depict the tropical island lifestyle. Angela Mathieu was born in Arbroath, Scotland and trained as a Physical Therapist in London. Primarily a watercolorist, she has also worked in batik and oils. She first moved to Hawaii in the 1970s and returned in the 1990s when she had more time to appreciate the beauty and vibrancy of color in the islands. Angela made Hawaii her permanent home in 2000 and enjoys painting Island themes including portraits. She is a member of the Hawaii Watercolor Society and was their H.K. Holbein award recipient in 2005.
